Description
Your starting point today, Landwinkel Castelijn, is located on the Rijpwetering canal. Bring something tasty for the road and then put on your walking shoes. Today you will discover windmills in the Drought Akkersloot, Hertogs and Blijverspolders, between the villages of Oud Ade and Rijpwetering. When you are just on your way, you will see the Akkerslootmolen in the distance on your left. You walk via Rijpwetering and Oud Ade to the Vrouw Vennepolder. You will pass the Vrouw Venner mill, which dates from 1632. The mill forms a beautiful accent in the area. You continue walking through the polder and enjoy the wide, typically Dutch view. In the distance you can see the Red Mill, which owes its name to the red upper house.
