Description
You immediately dive into a nice path, right past the café. This is the De Brand nature reserve, a moist, small-scale landscape with centuries-old oak forests and small flower-filled meadows. You will soon dive into the Loonse & Drunense Duinen National Park, an oasis of peace. Nowhere in Europe are living drifting sands found on such a large scale. You drive through dense deciduous and coniferous forests to the historic hamlet of Giersbergen and the beautiful village of Helvoirt with the St. Nicholas Church from 1901. At Biezenmortel you pass De Leemkuilen, created by loam excavations.
