Tour of the Loonse Drunense Dunes from Udenhout

You immediately enter a pleasant path, right past the café. This is the De Brand nature reserve, a humid, intimate landscape with ancient oak forests and small, flower-filled meadows. Soon you'll enter the Loonse & Drunense Dunes National Park, an oasis of tranquility. Nowhere else in Europe will you find such a large array of living drifting sands. You'll drive through dense deciduous and coniferous forests to the historic hamlet of Giersbergen and the charming village of Helvoirt, home to the St. Nicholas Church from 1901. Near Biezenmortel, you'll pass De Leemkuilen, a clay quarry formed by loam extraction.
