Figure eight walk around Ter Aar

Around Ter Aar you walk a figure eight through the countryside. The first loop takes you south. You pass through the Argonnepark, a little later you walk along the Aarkanaal. From the road you look out between the willow trees over rectangular parcelled meadows and ditches. From junction 77 you walk a bit along the Kromme Aar. Here you see alder swamp forest, reed land and grassland. You cross the Heempark, after which you walk back through the polder to Ter Aar. At MEEK Coffee & Foods you can enjoy a tasty snack, so that you can walk the second loop with enough energy. This takes you through the polders, but also a bit along the Langeraarse Plassen. At junction 47 you pass the Reformed Church, which originally dates from 1568.
