Round Brabantse Wal

You start this cycle route through West Brabant at Visitor Center de Kraaijenberg, where you can easily park. At the start of the route you will explore the atmospheric Bergen op Zoom, after which you will head towards the watery surroundings of the Markiezaatsmeer. This is the most bird-rich breeding area in the Netherlands. Over the Oesterdam you can enjoy the wide landscape and the view over the water. Via Hoogerheide you cycle through the Brabantse Wal. The Brabantse Wal is a steep edge worn out by the primeval Scheldt, an abrupt transition from the higher sandy soils to lower-lying marine clay polders.
