Description
Baarn is a place with royal allure. From 1948 to 1980, Queen Juliana and Prince Bernhard lived in Soestdijk Palace. Princess Beatrix currently lives at Drakensteyn Castle in Lage Vuursche. Both belong to the municipality of Baarn. Baarn still has great appeal, as evidenced by the many villas. then you walk across the country estate around Groeneveld Castle. In 1710 it was built by the prosperous Marcus Mamuchet. The 130-hectare estate is managed by Staatsbosbeheer.
