Tour of Speulderbos from Elspeet

After pleasant Garderen you will discover the Speulderbos, one of the oldest and most beautiful forests in the Netherlands. The centuries-old oak trees seem to move. They have been twisted into strange shapes by age and give the forest the nickname 'the forest of the dancing trees'. Just before Putten you pass the Schovenhorst estate. The garden has many exotic trees, some of them up to 40 meters high. Cycling to the east, you will soon come across the Schapedrift sheepfold at the Ermelosche Heide Visitor Center. The herd grazes on the heath every day.
