Walking through the Maashorst

 The Maashorst consists of different landscape types. You can walk through coniferous forests, over the moors and sandy plains. Winding country roads connect old-fashioned farms. This walking tour through this primeval area of Brabant is five kilometers long and - depending on your pace - can be walked in about an hour. Along the way you spot grazers such as the bison, aurochs and the exmoor ponies. You imagine yourself in a natural landscape that is reminiscent of a distant past. Wild and untouched. Once back in the built-up area, you walk on the Voortweg through Hengstheuvel back to your starting point.
