Description
In the vicinity of Maurik you can enjoy walking. During this walking route you walk through the floodplains along the Rhine and through the polder. A wonderful route to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Due to the construction of the weir in the Nederrijn, the river that originally ran past the village has moved a few hundred meters to the north. A dead river arm arose near Maurik. The area in between is called the Island of Maurik. This route is ideally suited to explore this area.
