Where better to walk in the Netherlands than in the Loonse and Drunense Duinen? The largest living drifting sand areas in Western Europe are located between Tilburg, Waalwijk and Den Bosch. During this walk you will become acquainted with the area, which is also called the Sahara of North Brabant. Here you will find large sandy plains, heathland and forests. The polar winds during the last ice age created many thick layers of sand in Brabant. You will also walk past Plantloon Estate, an estate in English landscape style with old avenues, deciduous forests, farms and meadows surrounded by hedgerows. Halfway you can take a break at Restaurant De Roestelberg. The coffee is always ready for you here. Enjoy a tasty lunch or a special beer before continuing your walk.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
