Walking through Cothen and surroundings

From Camping 't Boomgaardje you immediately walk into the polders of the Kromme Rijnstreek. You walk along extensive meadows and ditches on car-free paths. You will also see many fruit orchards here that give a beautiful color tone to the environment in spring. Cothen is a beautiful old village to explore on foot. You walk a bit along the banks of the Kromme Rijn. You will also pass the Sint-Petrus en Pauluskerk from 1906. Windmill Oog in 't Zeil dates from 1869. The area around the centuries-old Rhijnestein Castle is considered a protected village view. Robber knight Jan van Rhijnestein once held a number of goldsmiths from Paris hostage. You walk along a leafy path along the edge of the village. You walk back through the polder to the starting point.
