Walking along dolmens in Drenthe

In the Drenthe countryside you can get a breath of fresh air and at the same time absorb a lot of characteristic Drenthe cultural history. Ideal for a day of relaxation. You first walk to Hunebed D20. You then walk along a quiet path between the meadows to Hunebed D26. There is a bench to enjoy this picturesque spot at your leisure. In Borger you pass Hunebed D27: the largest in the Netherlands. You can take a look at the National Dolmen Information Center here. Around Borger you will see some beautiful Saxon farms. Just before Drouwen you will pass five dolmens in close succession. Finally, you will pass the village of the Versteend Leven Exhibition Farm, where you will find a collection of minerals, fossils and shells.
