Tour of Drenthe forests and dolmens

On the edge of the Het Drouwenerzand nature reserve in Drenthe you will find plenty of natural beauty and cultural history. There are several dolmens on your route, such as Hunebed D27: the largest in the Netherlands. You can take a look at the National Dolmen Information Center here. In Borger you see beautiful Saxon farms. The route also takes you through the extensive forests of Boswachterij Gieten-Borger. You can stop here at the Boomkroonpad Visitor Center to find out more about the area. Take a unique walk along treetops, you will never forget it! On the edge of Gasselte you will pass the Fernand Beque Monument. You can enjoy a historic atmosphere around the white Church of Our Lady.
