Tour of Drenthe forests and dolmens

On the edge of the Het Drouwenerzand nature reserve in Drenthe, you will find plenty of natural beauty and cultural history. For example, there are several dolmens on your route, such as Dolmen D27: the largest in the Netherlands. You can take a look at the National Dolmens Information Centre here. In Borger, you will see beautiful Saxon farms. The route also takes you through the vast forests of the Gieten-Borger Forestry. You can get off here at the Het Boomkroonpad Visitor Centre to learn more about the area. Take a unique walk along the treetops, you will never forget it! On the edge of Gasselte, you will pass the Fernand Beque Monument. Around the white Church of Our Lady, you can enjoy a historic atmosphere.
