Tour of Nijkerk, Amersfoort and Eemvallei

Get on your bike and follow the course towards the Hoevelaken Estate, a nature reserve with a wide variety of plant species. Then you cycle through Amersfoort. Here you will see, among other things, the Monnikendam and Koppelpoort, both of which date from the Middle Ages. Then you cycle many kilometers through the Eem Valley, a vast landscape of vast grasslands, ditches, dikes and old farms. From junction 6 you drive along the Laak, a stream that has been canalized since around 1200. It is wonderfully quiet in the fourteenth-century Arkenheempolder. At Pannenkoekenboerderij De Wildenburg you can regain your strength with a delicious meal, after which you cycle back to Nijkerk.
