Tour of Renesse by bike

First you cycle a bit through the dunes. Enjoy the peace and fresh sea air. Then you cycle to Nieuw-Haamstede. Here you pass the Westerlichttoren: a 58-metre high lighthouse from 1837. This lighthouse adorned the 250-guilder banknote until the introduction of the euro. The surrounding service houses from 1840 are considered a monument. Via the picturesque village of Burgh you cycle to Boswachterij Westerschouwen, the largest forest in Zeeland. Then you cycle a long way along the Oosterschelde coast. Enjoy a breath of fresh air while looking out over the water. You pass the Plompetoren, an old church tower from 1468. From the top you have a beautiful panorama of the area. Further on you come along the Schelphoek creek area. Through the polder you cycle back to the start and end point: Hotel Blooker.
