Description

Follow this route to get to know the foothills of the Hoge Veluwe to the north of Ede. You start your walk at Ede Centrum train station. From here you walk to the edge of Ede and further to the Kernhem estate. On this estate you can take a look at Huis Kernhem, a country house that was built in 1803 on the remains of a medieval castle. It is one of the oldest estates in the Netherlands. The next point of interest on your tour is the Doesburgermolen a little further on. This mill was built here around 1602. Then it is time to exchange the fields and meadows for the Veluwe forests. Enjoy the greenery around you here, because before you know it you'll be back at Ede Centrum train station.
