They paid at the lock with a pound of cookies, they put the lock money in their own pockets. You cycle through a landscape with wide views. You pass De Groene Jonker with its many birds. Then you cycle along the Nieuwkoopse Plassen and the Meije, a strongly meandering peat river. How quiet it is here!
