Walking tour from Hoevelaken to Stoutenburg

Between Hoevelaken and Leusden you will find a beautiful nature reserve through which you can take numerous walks. This walking tour takes you from Hoevelaken station to the Stoutenburg estate. Here you walk through the forest of the estate, which largely consists of deciduous trees and some conifers. Furthermore, no fewer than 66 bird species have been counted here, including the tree falcon, kingfisher, woodpecker and tawny owl. If you like bird watching, you can indulge yourself here. After a little more than 3 kilometers of walking you will pass the Stoutenburg country house, which was built here at the beginning of the 19th century. Originally there was a castle here that was built in 1259. Then you continue walking across the estate back to Hoevelaken station. You can crash there on the train.
