City and countryside: from Amersfoort to Hoevelaken

Explore the Valley Line train route on foot with stage 1 of this multi-day walking route. This route takes you from Amersfoort station to Hoevelaken station. You walk through the center of Amersfoort, but also through the green outskirts of the city. The best of both worlds. From Amersfoort station you walk to the city center of Amersfoort, where you can admire the Onze Lieve Vrouwetoren and the Sint Joriskerk. You can also stroll through the historic streets of Amersfoort on your way to the outskirts of the city. Between Amersfoort and Hoevelaken lies a quiet piece of nature with hay meadows, reed lands and swamp forests that are so typical of the Gelderland valley. You will eventually arrive at Hoevelaken station, where you can take the train.
