Von Uffenbach Route part 13 (Delft - Rotterdam)

This route is based on the book"A pleasure trip in the summer of 1718, the Von Uffenbach family in the Netherlands\\\" The route has been created with the permission and cooperation of the author Dr. Johan R. ter Molen and publishing house Waanders in Zwolle. The route starts at NS station Delft and goes via the former country estate of Sion (Rijswijk) towards Rotterdam. The Von Uffenbachs went with a barge reserved for them. We cycle a modified route through the beautiful landscape and eventually arrive at the Nieuwe Delftse Poort via the beautiful new Central Station in Rotterdam. Hotel De Doele (yes without a n, that's what it was called then) was also located nearby, where the Von Uffenbachs stayed. Via the Grote Kerk and the statue of Erasmus you can also visit the Markthal and then continue your way towards Rotterdam South. You return to the center via the Willemsbrug, the Kop van Zuid and finally via the cyclists' tunnel under the Maas. Via the Westzeedijk and the Voorhaven you drive to the Coolsingel and then end up at the Rotterdam CS terminus.
