Loosdrecht Lakes
During the route you cycle along the Loosdrechtse Plassen, also known as the'water garden of the Netherlands\\\'. On a sunny summer day it is bustling with water sports enthusiasts and nature lovers. The Loosdrechtse Plassen consist of several lakes and has been designated as a special protection zone for birds. Bird lovers can therefore indulge themselves here.
Direction Hollandsche Rading
After exploring the area around the Loosdrechtse Plassen, you cycle towards Westbroek and Maartensdijk. The area you cycle in is a rural area, a lovely polder landscape to cycle through. Then you cycle north to Hollandsche Rading and then you cycle on to the final destination of the route: Nieuw-Loosdrecht, which was first mentioned at the end of the thirteenth century. At that time it was still called Zijpe.
