Description
Dussen is a beautiful town in the Land of Heusden & Altena. In the countryside it is nice and quiet to walk through the polder. Put on your sturdy shoes for a walk that takes you along Castle Dussen.
Dussen Castle
You will soon pass Dussen Castle, a moated castle that originally dates back to the fifteenth century. Guided tours are given at regular times in the castle. Along the road it is then lovely to walk past stately trees and old farms. What a nice atmosphere!
Northevelde Mill
Then you walk into the vast polder. Enjoy the fresh air under high skies, while you enjoy the silence. At junction 70 you make a short detour to the Noordeveldse Molen. This beautiful hollow post mill dates back to 1795 and served as a polder mill for many years. Just before Korn you walk along the Kornse Boezem, a small forest area. In the polder you pass a few orchards, then you walk through Dussen.
