Description
Dussen is a beautiful town in the Land van Heusden & Altena. In the countryside it is nice and quiet to walk through the polder. Put on your sturdy shoes for a tour that takes you past Castle Dussen.
Castle Dussen
Soon you will pass Castle Dussen, a moated castle that originally dates back to the fifteenth century. Guided tours are given at set times in the castle. Along the way it is wonderful to walk past stately trees and old farms. What a nice atmosphere!
Northfield Mill
Then you walk into the wide polder. Get a breath of fresh air under high skies, while enjoying the silence. At junction 70 you can take a short trip to the Noordeveldse Molen. This beautiful seesaw mill dates back to 1795 and served as a polder mill for many years. Just before Korn you walk along the Kornse Boezem, a small forest area. In the polder you pass a few fruit orchards, then you walk through Dussen for a while.
