In the Brabantse Kempen just below Eindhoven you can enjoy walking through a varied landscape. Here you will find forests, old villages and a refreshing tranquility.
Cranendonck Castle
First you walk straight through De Heide: a nature reserve with mainly coniferous forest. On the winding paths you can enjoy the fresh pine air and the silence. On the edge of Cranendonck you pass the place where Cranendonck Castle once stood. The ruin has been converted into a town hall and is surrounded by a beautiful landscape park.
Soerendonk
In the neighboring village of Soerendonk you will see some beautiful long-fronted farms. You can also make a pit stop here at De Bout. Enjoy a leisurely lunch and drink before walking back into nature along quiet paths. You walk across a heathland where the Putberg is located, a small elevation. Then you walk past meadows and fields that are lined with rows of trees.
