From canoeists on the Dommel to the beautiful fens in the De Malpie nature reserve: a wonderful walk through a special piece of nature!
Canoeists
From here you first walk a bit along the Dommel, where canoeists and characters can often be seen. They have to do some pretty tricks every now and then to climb onto the bank dry! Nearby you can also see the Venbergse Watermolen, whose history goes back more than 1000 years.
Malpie
The Malpie nature reserve is very humid and undulating. The sand ridges date back to the Ice Age and were formed by the wind. This created a whole series of small hills. Between the heathlands, water wells up from the ground to form mysterious fens, a beautiful sight. You walk right past the Groot Malpieven, which was recently dug up. Now you can see the original plants and animals returning.
