Description
Scheulder is located in a privileged spot: close to the Gerendal with its orchids and just around the corner from the beautiful deciduous forest of the IJzerenbos.
Fruit orchards
It is wonderful to walk on the footpaths in the hills. How quiet it is here. Ideal for charging the proverbial battery. You regularly see a beautiful old farmhouse here.
Orchids
North of Scheulder you walk through the idyllic Gerendal, one of the most beautiful places in South Limburg. Many types of orchids bloom in the grasslands in May and June. You will not find a stream in the Gerendal: it is a so-called dry valley that was created by run-off rainwater. After a stopover at Eetcafé Scheulderheukske you walk between the meadows to the IJzerenbos, one of the most beautiful forests in the area with beautiful deciduous trees.
