Princess Beatrix Park
You walk through the Princess Beatrix Park, the largest park in Schiedam. It has hiking trails, a botanical garden, a petting zoo, a playground and a number of ponds. Here you can enjoy walking! The park is accessible by car via the Parkweg and the Schiedamseweg and the Duivenpad. The Beatrix Park was built in the fifties of the last century. The construction of the park was initially a work project for the unemployed. But after the flood disaster of 1953, the workers left for Zeeland to help with the reconstruction. During this walking route you walk through the park and explore a part of Schiedam.

Part of Schiedam is a protected cityscape. Schiedam is known worldwide for its jenever production, the historic city center with the historic harbors and the tallest windmills in the world: the Schiedam windmills. Six mills remain of the twenty that once stood there.
