Discover Boswachterij Uddel, part of Koninklijke Houtvesterij Het Loo. The tranquility and authenticity in these vast forests is unparalleled!
Forestry Uddel
After an overnight stay - or just a cup of coffee - at Hotel Mennorode you set off. Today you will discover Boswachterij Uddel. It is part of Koninklijke Houtvesterij Het Loo, an area of approximately twelve by sixteen kilometres. The largest contiguous forest area in the Netherlands! in addition to Boswachterij Uddel, Gortel and Hoog Soeren are also part of it. The forest and heath area has hardly any buildings, which makes it look very authentic. How wonderfully quiet it is here!
The Krill
The Koninklijke Houtvesterij used to be mainly used for hunting and forestry. It is not for nothing that it is well known for the abundance of wildlife. Who knows, you might come across red deer, roe deer or wild boar, in an almost original environment. Due to the many deciduous trees, it looks very different here in every season, it is always a feast for the senses. When you walk back you will see the heathland of De Kril on the other side of the road.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
