The Hulshorsterzand is an unusual landscape where you feel far from civilization. In short, an ideal nature reserve to shake off the everyday routine. Put on your sturdy hiking boots and immerse yourself in this beautiful landscape.
drifting sand
You set off from Camping Kostverloren. The first part of the route you walk your legs while you look out over the meadows. You will also pass some beautiful thatched farmhouses. After a while you walk along quiet paths to the Hulshorsterzand: one of the few large connected shifting sand areas in the Netherlands. What immediately stands out here: the silence. Ideal to relax for a day.
Picnic
In addition to shifting sand, you will also find vast heaths on the gently sloping Hulshorsterzand. Especially when the sun is shining, this is a wonderful place for a picnic. You can easily walk through the forest on winding paths. In the adjacent Belvédère forest, the landscape is slightly less rugged, but still very beautiful.
