Terrace route Eyserbeek and Miljoenenlijn

First high over the hill and then through the valley of the Eyserbeek. You will come across numerous terraces and the main station of the South Limburg Steam Train Company!

Your walking route starts at Groenpark Simpelveld, where you can spend the night in a bungalow. Or just drink a cup of coffee in the restaurant. As you walk along a traffic-calmed road high on the hill, you look far around. Further on you walk on an unpaved path along the meadows. Enjoy a coffee with something delicious at Brasserie Eyserhof. Then you walk through the valley of the Eyserbeek, from which the village of Eys has taken its name.

Million Line
Simpelveld is centuries old: it probably originated in the early Middle Ages, originating from a Roman settlement. Just before the end of the route you will pass the main station of the Zuid Limburgse Stoomtrein Maatschappij, where you can have a drink in the authentic station restaurant of the Miljoenenlijn.
