Loon and Drunen Dunes
Brabant is a province rich in nature, and the Loonse and Drunense Dunes prove this once again. The Loonse and Drunense Dunes National Park is ideal for walking or cycling. The park is also called the Brabant Sahara. The area contains thirty square kilometres of living drifting sand. This sand was deposited by polar winds during the ice age. For centuries it was covered by primeval forest. Keep your eyes open during your walk; there are birds, insects and deer hiding everywhere.

Varied nature reserve
There are no paths in the open drifting sand area: you can walk everywhere. Sometimes the sand in the Loonse en Drunense Dunes is blown up so high that only the tops of the trees can be seen. In the Loonse en Drunense Dunes you will find, in addition to a lot of sand, heathland, vast forests and streams. There is a beautiful view around the famous drifting sand plains and high sand dunes. In short: the perfect walking area.
