Loonse and Drunense Duinen
Brabant is a province rich in nature and the Loonse and Drunense Duinen prove this again. The Loonse en Drunense Duinen National Park is ideally suited for walking or cycling. The park is also called the Brabant Sahara. The area contains thirty square kilometers of living drifting sand. This sand was deposited by polar winds during the Ice Age. For centuries it was covered by primeval forest. Keep your eyes open during your walk; there are birds, insects and deer hiding everywhere.

Varied nature reserve
There are no paths in the open drifting sand area: you can walk anywhere. Sometimes the sand in the Loonse and Drunense Dunes is blown up so high that only the tops of the trees can be seen. In the Loonse and Drunense Duinen you will find not only a lot of sand, but also heathland, extensive forests and streams. There are beautiful views around the famous drifting sand plains and high sand dunes. In short: the perfect walking area.
