Description

From vast polders and dunes to forest and heathland: you will find it all on this route. First you drive straight through the Schoorlse Duinen, one of the most beautiful nature reserves in the Netherlands. It is wonderfully quiet cycling on sloping paths. Just below Petten you cycle over the Hondsbossche Zeewering, the current version has been there since 1880. Here you have a beautiful view of the North Sea. Via the Pettemerduinen you drive to the Zijpepolder. Here are two more authentic floating bridges, the first you can see just after junction 38 when you cross the canal. You will also pass three sixteenth-century polder mills here. In the Hargerpolder is the Groetermolen, which dates from 1890. The last part of the route you drive through the Schoorlse Duinen again. The route ends at Fietsverhuurbergenaanzee.nl.
