Cycling paradise Walcheren

Cycling on Walcheren is so beautiful that you sometimes get the feeling that this island was specially designed for cyclists. Get on the saddle and come and enjoy the nature and the historical sights.

Middleburg
From your comfortable holiday accommodation at Recreation Company Wim Koppejan you can cycle your legs loose along the coast. You cycle through a series of small plots of deciduous forest, meadows and dunes. You enter Vlissingen via the Nollebos. You then cycle along the Walcheren Canal to Middelburg. Here you can get off at Lientje Antique Toys Museum, where toys from the period 1800-1950 are exhibited. At the inner harbour you will see many beautiful old buildings.

Village forest
Then you can enjoy a breath of fresh air in the polders. You cycle through a landscape of meadows, rows of trees and old farms. What silence! You also pass through villages such as Serooskerke and Oostkapelle. You will see some beautiful monuments here, such as centuries-old churches. Just past Biggekerke you cycle a bit through the Dorpsbos: a varied nature reserve that was created as part of land consolidation. Walcheren is so beautiful!
