Description
A varied day, that is what awaits you with this beautiful route through the Gelderse Vallei and the Veluwe. You will also pass through Harderwijk and Nunspeet, picturesque towns with a rich history.
Hanseatic city Harderwijk VGet some fresh air and enjoy the peace and quiet and the typical Dutch landscape of meadows, cows and ditches. Just before Hierden you pass the Bloemkampen on the left: a wet nature reserve with flowery hay and grasslands. A little later you enter the old centre of Harderwijk. You see many beautiful old buildings here. From the harbour you look out over the Wolderwijd.
Nunspeet In the Leuvenumse Bos you immediately experience the characteristic silence of the Veluwe. You get a lot of energy from this, cycling seems to go almost automatically. Just above the hamlet of Leuvenum you cycle through an agricultural enclave of fields and hedgerows. Further on, the landscape suddenly opens up when you cycle over the Elspeetse Heide.
