Castle Waardenburg
The first kilometers you cycle between the orchards for which this region is known. You then drive through a landscape of meadows and rugged nature areas. In Tuil you can take a look at the medieval village church, further on you will pass Castle Waardenburg and the idyllic surroundings of Molen Waardenburg, which dates from 1780.

Via the picturesque Neerijnen you drive to Opijnen, where you cycle onto the Waalbandijk. From the road you have alternating views over the floodplains and the Waal. On the dike you regularly see beautiful old farms. What a beautiful landscape! You will pass through some worth seeing villages, such as Heesselt, Varik and Ophemert. You will also cycle through Tiel, one of the oldest towns in the Netherlands!
