Walking through Meijel and the Groote Peel

Your route starts at Peelpavilion Onze Stek. During this walk in North Limburg and North Brabant you will discover De Groote Peel National Park. Meijel is blessed with a beautiful square and beautiful surroundings. It is the gateway to the Groote Peel, but is also close to the extensive forests around Heiboem. From Meijel you walk west along the Simonshoek forest. De Groote Peel National Park is a vast, water-rich and quiet high moor area. De Groote Peel has many landscape types: marshes, open areas with heathland and forests, small and large ponds. For walkers it is a wonderfully varied wide area with many (far) views. You walk back through the small village of Berg. If the route is a bit long for you, take the time for an extensive break in Meijel!
