This is a remarkably nice route that goes from Amsterdam CS through perhaps the nicest street in Amsterdam (Haarlemmerstraat). Then you drive for some time along the Haarlemmer trekvaart and at a certain point you enter a green buffer (De Lange Bretten). Via Halfweg you go through the polder towards Haarlem.
Once you arrive in Haarlem, we recommend that you visit theTeylers Museum and then end on the Grote Markt where you will successively visit the town hall and the Grote Kerk . The former house of Laurens Jansz. Coster stood at Grote Markt no. 33 but was unfortunately demolished in 1929. A few doors further on is now the so-called Costerhuis (no. 25). The Von Uffenbachs' place of residence in Haarlem was Hotel De Gouden Leeuw, then located at Grote Markt no. 13.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
