Dünencamp Karlshagen

Camping Dunencamp Karlshagen is located on the edge of a built-up area in a pine forest right behind the dunes, in the unspoilt northern part of the island of Usedom. The Baltic Sea beach is within walking distance. Half a kilometer away you will find the center of the seaside resort of Karlshagen. You will find all kinds of nice shops and restaurants there. The cozy seaside resort of Zinnowitz is easily accessible by bike. As lovely as the area looks, infamous rockets were developed here during the Second World War. In Peenemunde, a museum has been set up in the original factory hall. Interesting for the enthusiast!

The campsite is easily accessible, also for campers and caravans. From the B111, take the Karlshagen exit at a traffic light junction. After 8 km you reach the village. Here you keep right after the bend. This road takes you through Karlshagen to the coast. From here the route to the site is signposted. Turn right at the end. The dead-end road takes you through a forest and ends up in the parking lot at the reception of the campsite.

Lots of greenery and a clear layout

At the reception you immediately experience the pleasant, green atmosphere that is created by the rich planting of hedges and high-rising pine trees. You will receive a professional and friendly welcome in the neat reception building. The elongated, narrow and tree-filled site extends behind the dunes and is clearly laid out. The majority of the tourist camping pitches are located between the trees on the dune side of the site.

Beautiful camping pitches in the forest

The camping spots are numbered, but not demarcated. The soil is often sandy and loose. In the high season it can be a bit of trial and error. There is less privacy then, especially for the terrain. However, the places further on offer more peace and privacy. Because the camping pitches are located between the trees in a pine forest, they usually offer sufficient shade. There are also quite a few seasonal pitches. Caravans are put in place by a tractor.

Very clean sanitary facilities

The sanitary facilities are housed in three nicely laid out and easily accessible buildings, also easily accessible for the disabled. The buildings are spacious, clean and collectively offer sufficient capacity, even in high season. With the help of an electronic key you decide how long you shower.

Beach within walking distance

In high season you will find an international group at the campsite. In addition to the Dutch, many Finns and campers from Berlin also find their way to the campsite. The beach is nearby and is easily accessible from the campsite via passages in the dunes.

Rocket Museum, Boardwalks and Beach

From the campsite you can make fun day trips by car or bicycle. The village of Peenemunde is about seven kilometers away. During the Second World War, infamous rockets were built here. A museum has been set up in the original factory hall. This is an interesting destination for those interested. For sunbathers, the seaside resort of Zinnowitz, with its beautiful promenade and cozy center, is a nice destination. Those who like cycling can make beautiful trips along the coast. And of course you will find miles of beach here. Great for those who want to sunbathe, paddle or swim.
