Camping am Waldbad

Am Waldbad is a no-frills campsite, located in a beautiful, hilly landscape. If you like camping and getting out and about, you will have a fantastic holiday here. A campsite with active facilities and an environment full of hills, forests, interesting towns, castles and villages are the ingredients for this.

The campsite is located next to the municipal swimming pool, 4 km from the city of Hameln, in the hilly and wooded Weserbergland. The friendly landscape is alternately agricultural and natural. In the historic towns you will see many half-timbered houses. If you come from Paderborn, turn left in Hameln before the Weserbrücke towards Rinteln (side road on the L433). Then follow the campsite signs and you will find the campsite 6 km northwest of Hameln.

At the edge of the forest

The campsite lives up to its name, being located on the edge of the forest and next to the swimming pool. The site is located on a hill next to a large, open field. The campsite managers, the Meyer family, will provide you with a friendly welcome upon arrival. If you go to the camping field, you will pass the swimming pool and the area with permanent accommodations.

Find a place you like

The open camping field looks well cared for and the pitches are not demarcated. This allows you to find a place that is completely to your liking. At this campsite you will encounter families and couples as well as seniors. Even older children can have a great time there.

Active and sporty

From the campsite you can reach the municipal swimming pool via a path (not free). You can also play volleyball, table tennis, football and play in the playground at the campsite. Directly from the campsite there are several paths that invite you to discover the beautiful Weserbergland while walking, running or cycling.

Basic facilities

The most basic things are for sale in the shop. In the restaurant you can eat simply and well. The simple sanitary facilities, which are clean and heated, are located 100 m from the camping field.

The road to Hamelin…

The city of Hameln and the surrounding area offers nice excursions. The famous Pied Piper can be found everywhere in the streets and on Wednesdays and Sundays there are usually theater performances, which are very nice to see. There are also several old castles to visit in the area.
