Bären-Camp

Visit the website

Camping Baren-Camp is located in a bend on the Moselle with a view of the steep wine slopes. The site borders directly on the town of Bullay. Catering and a supermarket are within walking distance. From your lazy camping chair you can watch the canal boats and river ships slowly pass by. Along the Moselle are countless historic towns with centuries-old half-timbered houses. You never have to look far for a good glass in this famous wine region...

From the A1 exit Wittlich you drive via the B49 to Alf. From there you first go along the Moselle for a while and then cross the bridge for the direction of Bullay. The last part to the campsite you drive on the fairly narrow cycle path that runs along the Moselle.

Terrace overlooking the river

The elongated terrain is neatly maintained. The pitches are divided over five different, connected camping fields. That can be a bit confusing at first, because not all fields belong to the campsite. Someone from the staff will be happy to help you with this! The reception is housed in a small wooden booth on wheels, located at the very front of the campsite. Here you will also find a shop and a restaurant with a beautiful large outdoor terrace, where you eat with a view of the river.

Swimming in the Moselle

The camping pitches are numbered and have practically no demarcation. The size varies from 70 to 100 m2, where the smallest places are actually too tight for a somewhat larger caravan. There are only a few trees on the site, so a large part of the camping pitches are in full sun and only a few in the shade. There is also a PodHouse for rent on the site, a small wooden house in which you can camp in style with two people. A cycle path separates the campsite from the Moselle. You can swim in the river here. It is also possible to launch your own boat.

Dated but neat

The sanitary facilities are somewhat dated, but otherwise very neat. There are two sanitary buildings: one at the beginning of the site and one halfway through the campsite. As on most campsites along the Moselle, the sanitary facilities are on stilts and you have to go up a number of steps to get there.

wine parties

Along the Moselle are beautiful historic towns and ancient castles. You can of course discover it by car, but it is even more fun to climb on your saddle. Just follow the Moselle cycle path which runs on both sides of the river. Lover of Moselle wine? Then visit one of the lively wine festivals that are held here between mid-June and early October. And with a few nice bottles in the trunk you can enjoy the afterglow at home...
