This is a somewhat outdated, but very cozy family campsite near the town of Pommern in Rhineland-Palatinate. This region is famous for the beautiful landscape of the Moselle, the activity on the water, historic towns, the wine slopes and the lively bustle of wine festivals and tastings. The town of Pommern is within walking distance. In the area are nice, historic towns and charming towns. You can visit castles and fortresses, walk on the Hunsruck or enjoy cycling on the cycle path along the Moselle.
From the A61 take exit 34 Mending and follow the B262 towards A48/Trier. On the A48, take exit 5 Kaifenheim. Now drive via Roes and Brohl to Pommern. The last part you drive at the foot of mountain slopes along the Moselle. When you enter the site of the campsite, you will see a two-storey building on the left. The reception is located on the ground floor. A restaurant is located on the top floor.
Spacious placesIn the reception you will be welcomed by the owner, Mr. Vanden Berk. The site is elongated and lies along the Moselle. The camping spots are not demarcated and are located on camping fields along unpaved paths. Tall trees mark the layout and provide shade. At Camping Pommern you can choose a pitch yourself. The facilities are by no means new, but the location makes up for it. Some of the camping pitches offer a view over the river.
Beautiful swimming pools with terraceOn the property you will find two beautiful swimming pools. At one of the pools is a terrace (with umbrellas) where you can enjoy a snack or a drink while overlooking the pool and the river nearby.
Dutch snacks and a cozy barOn the top floor of the reception building there is a simple restaurant with a canteen-like decor. There is a small menu with many well-known Dutch snacks. It is also possible to pick up meals. There is also a cozy bar and a small supermarket where you can buy the necessary groceries.
Historic sites and imposing castlesInformation about tourist attractions in the area is readily available at the reception. Nice places to visit are, in addition to Pommern, Cochem and Koblenz, which are within walking distance. There are also some beautiful castles in the area, such as Burg Eltz. In the Eifel and the Hunsruck you can enjoy beautiful walks and lovers of gemstones can also go there. Enjoy the beautiful landscape by taking a bike ride on the cycle path along the Moselle.
