9-Daagse fietsvakantie vanuit Twente & de Grote Rivieren

This 9-day individual cycling tour is part of'cycling along the borders of the Netherlands\\\'. During the'Twente & the Great Rivers\\\' route you cycle at approximately 45 kilometers per day through beautiful Twente to the south. Along the beautiful Hanseatic city of Zutphen, along the IJssel and over the rolling Veluwe to the Gelderland capital Arnhem located on the Rhine. Then towards one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands, Nijmegen located on the river Waal. You cycle along old river courses, floodplains, willows, marshes and drifting dunes. Together with the church towers, the chimneys of old brick factories form the only vertical elements in this otherwise flat landscape. From Nijmegen you continue cycling towards Limburg. You follow the Maas up to the wide Maas valley in the direction of the Mookerheide. The surroundings of Venray consist of extensive dune areas, heathland with juniper bushes and forests. You will find beautiful nature reserves here such as the Boshuizer Bergen, Ballonzuilbossen and the Heidese Peel. You end this beautiful and very varied tour in Reuver.
