De drie toppen route - Nationaal Park Hoge Kempen

For a solid calf-biter you have to be in Thorpark. Thorpark is part of the Hoge Kempen National Park, the only National Park in Belgium, covering 12,000 hectares. In Thorpark you will find everything the Hoge Kempen has to offer: Mijnsteenbergen (terrils) in the middle of heather water pools, pine forests, juniper berries and inland dunes. Some striking buildings spice up the landscape, such as the Children's Colony of As and the coal mine of Waterschei (Thor Central). Heritage and nature go hand in hand here, resulting in a beautiful walking area with 3 green terrils of 150 m, with beautiful panoramas over the vast forests and heaths.
