Wereldvlam / World Peace Flame

The World Flame of Peace has been burning in Wales since 1999. This flame draws attention to world peace. The World Flame of Peace is being spread all over the world. In the Netherlands, the first World Peace Flame was placed next to the entrance gates of the Peace Palace on April 18, 2002. A special monument has been erected there with an ever-burning flame. On the memorial is the text: "May all beings find peace". In 2012, a peace flame was ignited at the Airborne Museum in Oosterbeek.
