In Leende, eleven people were killed as a result of the war. Previously there was a memorial plaque for the war victims in the town hall of Leende. Instead of a memorial chapel, stained glass windows were installed in the town hall. During the renovation of the town hall in 1992, the commemorative plaque was moved, which was eventually placed on a memorial column on the market field in 1995. The large window will find a place in the new village hall and the small windows from the council chamber are in the custody of the municipality of Heeze-Leende.
