Veteranenhuis: Stichting Veteranen Brabant Zuid-Oost

Because there was a need in Eindhoven for a location where veterans can meet, on the initiative of Hans van den Boogaard and a number of veterans, the Veterans Brabant South East Foundation (SVBZO) was established on April 24, 2006, to serve as the basis for the meeting location. As true pioneers, as if they were the first in the mission area, the then Board and volunteers worked hard to establish the SVBZO. This led to the municipality of Eindhoven making the building at 17 Smitsstraat in Eindhoven available in 2007. Combined forces made it possible that on April 24, 2008 the Veteran Meeting Center 'de Treffer' was opened. In return for the support of the municipalities from the Eindhoven Region Cooperation (SRE), the SVBZO organizes the annual Regional Meeting Day in the Southeast Brabant region. The living room activity is primarily a meeting place for veterans and others. In a familiar environment you can exchange experiences, relax and gather information. The living room is open to all veterans every week, without distinction according to age or broadcast and background. Free coffee and tea are served and soft drinks are available for a fee, no alcohol is served.
