Herengracht 512 (Jacob van Lennepwandeling)

Jacob's other grandfather, Cornelis van Lennep, lived at 512 Herengracht until his death in 1813. Grandma Cornelia 'Ceejet' van de Poll died fourteen years later. Jacob was very fond of both. He played horse with grandfather, who also taught him a love for nature. Grandma was a stately matron, with powdered hair, a black dress, a white scarf, and high heels.
