Ruïne Nettelhorst

On their way to Borculo, Van Lennep and Van Hogendorp unintentionally cross the Nettelhorst Estate. The fourteenth-century manor was inhabited in 1823 by the sixty-year-old widow Henrietta Seyna van Wassenaar. The young men do not visit her, but keep walking. The manor is sold for demolition in 1875. Only the bottom part of the stair tower is still there.
