This museum is located in the eastern castle tower of Schagen. It is the first and only museum in the Netherlands that focuses on the First World War, which included the Battle of the Somme in 1916. In addition to archaeological finds from the Somme area, the collection consists of utensils, weapons, uniforms and models. The museum is now a place where people discuss and reflect on human behavior in war and peace, the history of Europe, the present and the future. The museum collaborates with the Regional Museum 40-45, which is housed in the west tower.
