Museum Historisch Harenkarspel

This museum is located in the Van Blanckendaell zoo and the permanent collection consists of tools that were used in earlier times in agriculture and livestock farming, plus an extensive range of antique household items. All items come from residents of the former municipality of Harenkarspel, where virtually everyone worked as a tradesman, farmer or horticulturist. Every year, a rotating exhibition is put together with various topics, from 100 Years of Photography to Toys from the Old Box. On the website you can read what the current topic is. This museum is also recommended for children. A special museum treasure hunt has been set up for them.
