Nature reserve
Koeheuvels
This area is called the 'Cow Hills'. It consists of an open sand drift, interspersed with heather plants and juniper bushes. It is a remnant of an originally much larger drifting sand area with heather where sheep grazed for centuries. Due to the rapid growth of the area, work has been carried out since this century to restore the originally open and varied heather and drifting sand terrain.
